Farouk Shikalo and Abdallah Hassan following their Tuesday 14th August call-up to the senior Kenya national team, Harambee Stars.
Farouk, a keeper and Abdallah Hassan a speedy winger are part of the 38-man provisional squad that will hit camp ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Ghana scheduled for early September.
In an interview, Mwalala said the two deserved the summons as they have been in good form for the club.
“Both deserve the call ups and as the coach I congratulate them, I am happy for them. Farouk has most clean sheets in the league this year, for me he’s the best in the country right now and the call up is merited.
“Hassan is one of the best young forwards we have around. His style is similar to that of Boniface Muchiri, he takes on defenders easily. Basing on his current form he deserves the call, he’ll be a future star in this country,” the coach said.
The squad will be trimmed further once the players hit camp
