Bernard Mwalala’s reign as Bandari FC head coach began on a good note with the team overcoming visiting Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday 7 July.
The lone goal in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) week 22 clash was scored by Darius Msagha minutes to the break after a nice work from Wycliffe Ochomo. The defeat also saw Paul Nkata lose to his former employers, the win coming after humbling AFC Leopards in their previous game last week.
The win propels Bandari FC to third on the league log with 35 points; 14 points behind leaders Gor Mahia. As for Homeboyz, no point gained leaves them seventh on the log 31 points. Homeboyz entertains Thika United in their next match with Bandari having AFC Leopards in week 23 of league action
