Bandari FC and Zoo Kericho played out to a 2-2 draw after Nicholas Meja scored a late screamer saving Bandari a point at home on Wednesday 25th April.
The game was end to end from the word go with Hassan Abdalla delivering a dangerous cross in the 2nd minute that was cleared into play by Ligare. In
the 6th minute, Paul Nkata intercepted a drive by Zoo’s Bernard Odhiambo that could have proved costly.
It was the dockers who broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. William Wadri scored the first goal of the game. Fred Nkata passed the ball to Darius Msagha who then drove it to Kevin Omondi. Kevin’s cross landed on Wadri who had no problem finishing the play.
Just 6 minutes later(17th minute), Zoo’s Nicholas Kipkirui who already had 6 goals in his bag, tapped the ball past advancing goalkeeper Faruk. This brought Zoo back into the game.
In the 23rd minute, Msagha’s left footer went over the bar after a pass from Bernard Odhiambo.
Michael Madoya netted in a goal in the 26th minute but it was disallowed after he was ruled offside. He had received a cross from Kipkirui from the left wing and his shot hit the crossbar before bouncing into the net.
However, he redeemed himself in the 34th minute by heading into the net Zoo’s second goal. This came from a Munyasa Akiya cross from the right wing.
Bandari made their first substitution in the 37th minute with Hassan Abdalla coming out for Kingatua.
1 minute was added to the first half but by half time it was the hosts who were ahead by a goal.

In the 55th minute, Kipkirui’s shot fired wide off target after a pass from Bernard Odhiambo. Bandari began working hard to get an equalizer. Vincent Misikhu was forced to make an important save in the 61st minute after across from Msagha from the left wing.
Zoo scorer Kipkirui was substituted inthe 68th minute and was replaced by Kiprono.
Bandari’s saving grace came in the 83rd minute in the form of Nicholas Meja. Meja netted in a screamer to earn Bandari a much deserved point.
The warm afternoon ended all square at Mbaraki Stadium.
