POLL: KPL FANS PLAYER OF THE MONTH – OCTOBER

The 2015 season of the SportPesa Premier League is up after a thrilling final month of action, October, which saw a number of records set – Gor Mahia finishing the season unbeaten with a record 78 points, the best tally by a team since the formation of a 16 – team top flight.

The battle for the top scorer’s gong between Jesse Were and Michael Olunga ended in the Tusker man finishing tops with 22 goals as Olunga managed 19 after a fine run in October.

The list of nominees for the final month of the season will entail final round of matches which were played on Sunday 1 November.

David Kingatua: Bandari

The former Nairobi City Stars and Thika United man was a real inspiration for the Dockers in the month. Making cameo appearances in the four matches he featured, he helped the team to its best ever finish in the premier league with three crucial goals.

His three goals in the rating period saw him finish as the club’s best scorer for the season but most importantly helped the team finish in the top half after earlier struggling.

By that he was rated among the best performers in the month.
Voting period

For a player to be named the Fans’ Player of the Month, he has to garner the most votes from fans in a poll running on Soka.co.ke. The voting period will last until Tuesday 10 November with the winner awarded the following day.

The prize for the winner is a personalized trophy and Kshs 10,000 courtesy of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), Supersport and Soka.

Ali Abondo, Jacob Keli, Bernard Mangoli, Paul Kiongera and Meddie Kagere are the previous winners of the award.
