The Lads Halt Mathare

Second placed Mathare United had their memento reduced as they were held by Bandari Fc at the Machakos Stadium, the match which began with a ten second player protest on matters salary saw the two sides fight it out on more leveled game that produced no goals at the final whistle mark.

Faruk Shikhalo produced a man of the match performance for the team as he denied Chrispine Ochieng a goal scoring chance in the the first 15 mins, the goalkeeper would later on come to the rescue of the lads once more when cleared Clifford Alwanga’s open chance in the the 80th minute.

Mathare were caught napping in the 84th when youngster Hassan Abdalla made a run with the ball from his goalline to Mathare’s goalline beating defender Collins Agade only to shoot far wide from the goalpost.

Mathare United now lie second on log standings with 26 points 4 points behind league leaders Gor Mahia who have played 12 games 3 games behind Mathare United, whilst on the other side Bandari FC are on position 4 with 23 points.
