Bandari sink Ushuru in Mombasa

 

Bandari’s miserable run in the Kenya Premier League came to an end after they trounced Ushuru FC 2-0 at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa on Wednesday.Fariid Mohammed was the toast of the day, after scoring a brace to steer his side to climb up league standings and subsequently catch up with the taxmen’s team at 26 points.

After a barren first half, Bandari took the lead in the 57th minute when Mohammed combined well with second half substitute Erick Okoth to beat Ushuru Keeper Ali Kimera with a tricky shot.Ushuru were the first to send early scoring signals when veteran Charles Okwemba came close in the 18th minute from a set piece but Bandari Keeper Wilson Obungu was equal to the task.
